Economics 101

As others have noted, the stock market is not the preserve of a handful of fat cats; it's the engine that drives our retirement plans. We own all those stocks through our retirement plans. Fauxbama attacks the fat cats but hurts all of us in the process. His 'populism' only works for the ignorant and the populace that isn't invested (directly or indirectly). He is a walking, talking disaster, leaving destruction in his wake. When our retirement plans are diminished, so is our ability to hire people or buy things. The ripple effects are huge. This is all Econ 101, but the dims don't seem to have ever studied that

The terror attempt in the sky!

It's all over. The Nigerian man is behind bars and justice will take its course.

While this incident might have had a worst ending, the facts remain, no one was injured and the "terrorist" is behind bars now, and after a good ol' American fair trial, will be behind bars for the rest of his life. So, all the WingNUTS with their panties in a bunch can all calm down now. Everything is under control, except maybe you.

BTW, why are the WingNUTS and conservatives always so afraid?

Obama Change We Can Believe In

President Barack Obama will celebrate his first year in office shortly. He has tackled big issues head-on and continued his campaign of well-delivered speeches and late-night appearances on various TV shows. Keeping his promise of getting a first dog for the first children, he has captivated the hearts of dog lovers, while evoking the hope and optimism that marked Camelot.

What's not to love? Beautiful, smart wife with incredible arms seen tilling a White House garden in sweater and boots; photogenic children who want to go to their private school when it snows (who could have, had they been in public school); a president, tall, handsome, cool and collected.

President Obama

In 2009, the Democratic party under President Obama gave to the American people a superb, long overdue Christmas gift: an unyielding commitment to provide universal health care for every man, woman and child. And soon, legal codification of health care as a right, and not a wealth-based privilege.
